Counting my blessings

I call them friends when they:

- Laugh when you smile

- Invite you over for a horror flick movie

- Feed you pizzas till you drop

- Keep still so you can sleep comfortably

- Share your secrets and promise to keep it to the grave

- Call you sweetie, just because

- Cook curries and no-bake desserts together

- Take their kites for a run with you even when there's no wind

- Will hold your hand even if they don't know you're sad

- Make life a little more bearable when things are down-right gloomy

- Are the only ones allowed to call you 'Lazy', 'Stinky' or 'Fatty'

- Tell you you're hotter than America's next top model.

- Sacrifice time for you.

Silver linings

I love how life punches you in the face.

And then gives you a candy to suck on and make it better for a while.

Thank god for friends and so much work your mind gets numbed.

What if i never know?

... If this is how it's meant to be.

I need a little faith.
